Midges and rain

My take on the often photographed viewpoint.
On a whim, I'd decided to take the overnight Caledonian 'Sleeper' service up to Fort William, although I got precisely zero hours sleep, and after a day of persistant heavy rain my spirits were quite low.
But what an amazing location, and the following morning, despite the clouds of midges, and the fact that I had so many bites I looked like I had the measles, I wouldn't have been anywhere else.
